TINY FINS SURVIVAL SWIM PARENT HANDBOOK AND GUIDELINES
STATEMENT OF LIABILITY AND PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: Parents, you and your children's safety are your responsibility totally until the instructor takes your child out of your hands and into the water for their scheduled lesson. There is no lifeguard on duty. Neither I nor the pool owners assume responsibility for you, your children, or visitors that may be with you either in the pool area, parking lot, or on the way to or from lessons. Children waiting for their lessons or dressing after lessons, as well as any other children brought to the pool , must be kept beside you or on your lap. Do not leave children unattended for any reason. Children are not allowed to roam around the pool area. Parents must accompany and supervise their children in the bathroom. You must assume responsibility in explaining all rules and regulations of the pool facilities to any visitors or babysitters. TFSS reserves the rights to refuse and/or terminate service to any client who does not abide by TFSS Policies and Procedures.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR LESSONS? We have a DOUBLE DIAPER POLICY: Any swimmer not potty trained must wear one disposable swim diaper and one reusable swim diaper. Please do not feed your child 2 hours before lesson.
ABSENCES & MAKE-UP POLICIES: Each student is eligible for 3 free make- up lessons annually for any reason. All other make-up lessons are only available for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance. Make-up lessons are subject to availability and can be scheduled by emailing:
CANCELLATION POLICY: To cancel lessons please call (417) 413-4922 or email firstname.lastname@example.org 24 hours in advance. Weather : We may close for thunder, lightning and poor road conditions. We use Weatherbug app to monitor weather. Please check TFSS Facebook page before driving to your scheduled lessons if you have any doubt as to whether your lesson is still scheduled. If TFSS has to cancel your lesson for any reason, we will issue a free make up to be used within 30 days.
WHAT IS THE COST OF LESSONS AND HOW DO I PAY? Registration is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $30, ( for siblings registered at the same time, it will be $30) is payable to your instructor at the time of registration. A deposit of $200 is due before your child begins lessons. The remaining $400 balance can be paid at anytime before your child starts lessons or weekly payments of $80 can be made. Once the 6 weeks lessons are over and your child has mastered Survival Skills, we highly recommend lessons once a week for 15 min to sharpen, maintain and advance in skills. The cost for once a week maintenance lessons is $25.
WHAT IF WE ARE LATE OR MISS A LESSON? Swimming lessons are 15 min in length, four days a week Monday through Thursday. Consistency is so important and makes our program so effective. Steady attendance will increase your child's rate of progress
